what do you need:

  • 1/2 kilo of uncooked black beans, rinsed

  • 2 grated carrots

  • 2 stalks celery, diced

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1 cup of sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder

Combine black beans, carrots, celery, garlic, onion, vegetable broth, water, and sauce in a slow cooker. Season with chili powder, cumin and oregano. Stir to combine the ingredients well. Cover and cook 6 to 8 hours on high or until beans are tender. When ready, puree the mixture using an immersion blender. Add salt if necessary.

Slow baked ziti with cheese

what do you need:

  • 1/2 kilo of Italian sausage

  • 1 onion finely chopped

  • 1 can of tomatoes cut into cubes

  • 4 cups of olive pasta

  • 2 1/2 cups pasta sauce

  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Brown the Italian sausage and onions in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, season with salt, then cook for another minute. Transfer the mixture to a crock pot. Add the tomatoes, pasta sauce, chicken broth, basil, and parsley to the pot, and stir until well combined. Cover and cook for 6 hours on low or 3 hours on high. When ready, add the noodles to the pot and stir. Cook for another 25 to 35 minutes. When ready, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and cover until cheese melts, about 3 to 5 minutes.

Crock Pot Quick, Sweet Pork

what do you need:

  • 1 boneless bacon (about 3 1/2 pounds)

  • 2 cups packed brown sugar

In a slow cooker, add 1 1/2 cups of the brown sugar and place the ham, flat side down. Rub the meat with the remaining brown sugar. Cover and cook for 8 hours on low heat. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
