A slow cooker is usually used to prepare a wide variety of dish that will cater to a group of people. But if you live alone, eating a lot of leftovers is a problem that you have to face. But who said that crock pots can only cook the perfect dishes for groups? You can certainly use your crock pot to make a dish that’s good for just one or two people.

Here are delicious slow cooker recipes that you can enjoy at home:

Crockpot chicken and fries combo

what do you need:

  • 1/4 kilo chicken, cut into pieces

  • 1/4 kilo potatoes, peeled and cut into large pieces

  • 2 pcs bacon, minced

  • 2/3 cup grated Colby Jack cheese

  • 1/3 cup of chicken broth

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Fresh black pepper to taste

  • Extra cheese (for garnish)

  • avocado (for garnish)

  • salsa (for garnish)

Place the potatoes and bacon in the bottom of the slow cooker and season with the garlic powder and black pepper. Add the chicken to the pot, then sprinkle with paprika. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken and potatoes and cover with the cheese. Cover and simmer for 4 to 6 hours. When ready, transfer to a serving platter and top with additional cheese, avocado, and salsa if desired.

Slow cooked beef chili

what do you need:

  • 1/2 kilo of cooked and drained beef

  • 3 minced garlic cloves

  • 2 cups of chicken broth

  • 1 3/4 cups black beans

  • 1 3/4 cups of beans

  • 1 3/4 cups diced small tomatoes

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce

  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion

  • 1 cup chopped green pepper

  • 1/4 cup grated cheese of your choice (for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon of cumin

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Put the cooked ground beef, garlic, black beans, kidney beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, onions, and peppers into a saucepan. Season with cumin, salt, black pepper and hot pepper. Add the chicken broth to the pot. Gently stir the ingredients together. Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours or on high heat for 4 hours. Cover with grated cheese before serving.

Apple and cinnamon croquette

what do you need:

  • 1 12 kg grilled boneless pork loin, browned

  • 3 apples, seeded and cut into slices, with skin left on

  • 3 peeled onions

  • 1/4 cup of apple

  • 4 tablespoons of honey

  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

  • salt 1/2 tsp

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Cut 1/2-inch slits across the top of the ham. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a small bowl and then rub the mixture all over the loin, including the inside of the slits. Put a few slices of apple and apple juice into a saucepan. Lay the ham on top of the apples and drizzle with honey. Place an apple slice inside each slice, then sprinkle the remaining apple and onion slices over and around the meat. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon. Cover and cook for 6 hours on low heat.
